Malaysia in the eyes of my Chelsea

My very first out-of-the-country travel is in Malaysia, that is why, it will always have a special spot in my heart. I will remember it with very fond memories with my husband and two of my dearest friends, Gillian and Eia.

We landed at LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) at around 1am in the morning of 23 April, we had to ride a bus for an hour to be able to reach the city proper, Kuala Lumpur(KL), and then, we rode a taxi to our hotel Citin Pudu, located at Jalan Pudu. The travel from the airport to the city was such a delight, the roads and the cityscape are very urban and well developed. When we reached our hotel, it was almost 3am, so we just slept and after a few hours, we prepared for our first destination, Batu Caves, which is located in the northern part of KL. It appeared to me as a very big park with a huge statue and there are 272 steps to reach the caves. Since it was too hot, Gillian, Eia and I decided not to climb up to the caves, only Jomark had the strength to go up and see the beauty of the caves. I will try to share some photos to you taken by Jomark, so we all can see what's inside the caves.

We left Batu Caves at around 2pm, we returned to Jalan Pudu to eat lunch. We had our lunch in one of the stalls at Little India. From there, we went to Merdeka Square (Independence Square)  where you can find the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Royal Selangor Club, the National History Museum.

After taking some photos in Merdeka Square, we headed to China Town which is just walking distance from Merdeka. China Town is just like Greenhills Shopping Centre, there are lots of stalls selling shirts, bags, shoes, etc. I just bought two shirts with Malaysia print in front. We had our dinner here and went to Central Market which is also walking distance from China Town. I liked Central Market more than China Town because the items being sold are  more interesting, there are really good stuff for the home, unique souvenir pieces and a variety of food selection. We didn't not buy pasalubong yet because we didn't want to carry lots of bags to Singapore, and then back to Malaysia.

We left Malaysia morning of 24 April and went back afternoon of 26 April. This time, we stayed at Bintang Warisan, which is located at Bukit Bintang, we liked this hotel more because the rooms are better and the hotel location is busier and most malls and establishments are accessible. After settling down our things, we went back to China Town and Central Market to finally buy some pasalubong. After shopping, we went back to Bukit Bintang, where we had our dinner, we enjoyed chatting and didn't realize that it was already past midnight, since our energy was still very high, we decided to go to Petronas Towers, it was so much fun to take photos of it because the area is basically crowdless, only the four of us were taking pictures, Jomark was too engrossed in taking photos of us with the towers as the background. We left the park in front of the Petronas Towers at already almost 3am!

The photo below was taken on 27 April, our last day in Malaysia, we were heading to Pavillion Mall to check out Forever 21 boutique, Gillian's personal favorite. I didn't know what Sayangi means, until I searched for it on the net and found out that it means 'Love." So below means "Love Kuala Lumpur."

What a lovely serendipity! ;)

* For my very first out-of-the-country travel, I ended up getting for myself as souvenirs, the following, malaysian ringgit (1 bill and a few coins), 1 ref magnet, postcards, 2 dangling earrings, 3 tops, 4 bags(!!!!) and 2 flat shoes. ;) Is this too much??? ;) Well, it's my first!!
